It all began in 1918, when Ferdinand Claus and Georges Schweder opened a soap factory in Porto (Portugal), the \”Factory Products Chimico CLAUS & SCHWEDE, SUCRS.\”

In 1918, Achilles de Brito bought the company and gave it a new name: Ach. Brito. But he kept the brand Claus Porto. Ach Brito was distinguished by cosmetics, especially solid soaps made from plant material, and other similar bath products.

You can find them in Harrods, in London, the Galeries Lafayette in Paris, and at SAKS 5th Avenue in New York.  

 Due to its keratolytics properties, it's traditionally used as soothing aid for skin conditions such as sebborhea, eczema, psoriasis, etc. It's also well know for it's antiparasitic and antiseptic actions. This is a great medicinal soap, used through generations.
